CYFM's Day by Day Agape (DDA)

What is DDA?

The Day by Day Agape (DDA) retreat is a three-day encounter retreat for teens, ages 14-18. DDA refers to living day by day in God's love as individuals and in community. The DDA retreats are single-gendered retreat weekends.

The retreat weekend functions within the Catholic Church to help build the faith community among adults and teens. DDA focuses on the idea that faith must be a free choice and encourages teens to take ownership of their faith and give it expression in their daily lives.

What happens on DDA?
During the retreat weekend, teens get the opportunity to develop a deeper relationship with God. This is done through:

  • Peer and adult presentations
  • Small and large group discussions
  • Interactive music and drama presentations
  • Teen witnesses
  • Free time to reflect and relax
  • Participation in Catholic prayer and community
  • Instructional/Closing Masses

DDA can help strengthen one's faith journey with the support of peers, adult team members, spiritual directors and the CYFM community. The weekend is led by teens and is for teens.
