Family Days of Reflection

Capuchin Youth & Family Ministries strives to build up the family in all that we do. The family is not only the first, but is called to be the privileged place, where individuals learn to love and receive love, and to come to know God and be formed in the faith.

One way that we support families is through our Family Day of Reflection. From time to time we offer such a retreat at CYFM. We also take our retreat to parish communities and offer a day of reflection for families within a particular parish.

Our current family Day of Reflection is entitled: Catholic Family Life: Coming to the Table. It is a retreat for all members of families. We help families to see and reflect on the parallels between the family meal table and the Eucharistic table around which we gather for mass. As we do this, we learn more about ourselves as family and God’s gift of the Eucharist.

The schedule includes activities and presentations for the whole family together; guided discussions for families; time for peer group discussion and activities (parents with other parents, teens with other teens, young children with other young children, etc.), and prayer and reflection time.

Contact CYFM to arrange for the Capuchin Youth & Family Ministries team to visit your parish and journey with your families through a day of reflection as together we learn the truth of who we are as families - images of our God as Trinity.
