About Capuchin Journeys Pilgrimages

Capuchin Journeys is a ministry within the Mission and Development Office of the Province of St Mary which takes the words of Pope Pius XII and the example of St. Francis of Assisi  who himself was a pilgrim  to heart. We like to call our ministry as "Praying with our legs" The quote just mentioned is borrowed from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s colleague and good friend, Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heshchel.

When the late Rabbi was asked upon his return from the march from Selma to Montgomery how he felt about his experience.  He replied: "it was the first time that, I prayed with my legs." With that quote as our motto we embark with the wisdom of the words of Pius XII and in imitation of St Francis we hope to become ambassadors of peace when traveling abroad or at home with the spirit of ecumenism and join the list of all those pilgrims from all faith communities who have prayed with their legs!
