Financial Consideration

We are committed to supporting our Cap Corps Volunteers:

  • Stipend- $50/week
  • Furnished housing:  8 bedroom house (former convent) in Beacon, NY
  • Generous food stipend for all community meals
  • Health Insurance- Major Medical Health Insurance through Catholic Network of Volunteer Services
  • Education grant of $3,500 after completion of the program
  • Community car available for ministry related activities
  • Gas money for ministry related activities
  • House phone and Internet provided
  • Program runs from late August - late July

Boston College's School of Theology and Ministry:
Generous scholarships to all current/former Cap Corps, NY volunteers that are admitted into one of their degree programs.  A full-tuition scholarship may be available for one or more Cap Corps Volunteers.

Fordham University's Graduate School of Religion and Religious Education:
Multiple scholarship awards to current Cap Corps, NY volunteers who are admitted into any of the 36-credit Master's degree programs. One full-tuition scholarship and a 60% tuition scholarship will be awarded each year.

The 36-credit degree programs include:
        

Master of Arts in Religious Education
        -Adult, Family, and Community
        -Education Ministry
        -Latino Studies
        -Pastoral Care
        -Pastoral Studies
        -Social Ministry/Education for Peace and Justice
        -Spirituality and Spiritual Direction
        -Youth and Young Adult Ministry
