On Saturday, April 11, the friars celebrated the octave of Easter with the faithful who worship at our parishes, participate in our ministries, and contribute so generously to our mission. Following a festival liturgy in the majestic chapel at St. Joseph Seminary, Yonkers, N.Y., the assembly gathered for brunch in the seminary refectory. There, Br. Charles Sammons, who is the parochial vicar at Sacred Heart Parish in Yonkers, gave a talk related to the Church's jubilee year of St. Francis. As 2026 marks the 800th anniversary of the death of Francis of Assisi, Brother Charles recounted a few episodes from the final days of Francis' glorious life and drew out the Christian virtues he exemplified as he prepared to return to his Creator.

We hope you will watch Brother Charles' talk and come away from it as edified as we were.
